Fun changes (and holiday hours) ahead! Check it out:
Happy Friday, everyone! We’ve reached the holiday weekend and looking forward to spending a few days with family and friends. If you’re in last minute stocking-stuffing mode, you know where to visit (we’ll be open normal hours today and tomorrow [Fri/Sat], and open on Dec 24/Christmas Eve from 11AM-4PM). Please read on for a detailed schedule — we’ll be shifting to winter hours again this coming week. But before that, we’ll share the fun stuff:
First, we’re beyond thrilled to announce that Molly Anthony will be joining us as Junket’s new Events & Marketing Manager in early January. She’s got literally decades of experience in this sort of thing, and with her arrival, we’ll be able to more formally expand on our class offerings & community-building. You already know Molly as the creative force behind our monthly Creative Journaling sessions, and we’ll all be getting to know her better (both at Junket and online) in the months ahead. We can hardly wait for her to get started!
We’re also pleased to share that shop veteran (and vintage fashion aficionado) Candice Dehnbostel has accepted a promotion to Shop Supervisor. Given her personal commitment to environmental stewardship and her finesse in keeping track of all manner of tactical details, we’re excited to have her step into this key role overseeing day-to-day retail operations.
In order to better host creative classes and improve traffic flow in the shop proper, we’ve decided to dedicate some of our existing square footage to enable active making and doing (we figure that since many of us will be diligently neglecting new resolutions and recovering from holiday hubbub during January, it’ll be as good a time as any to work on this). To that end, be on the lookout for more event offerings centered around mindful creativity, reuse, skilling & fixing beginning in February.
To free up resources for making these changes happen, the shop will implement winter hours again this year. Here’s the plan:
Daily hours (11-7) through December 23.
December 24 (Christmas Eve): 11AM – 4PM
CLOSED December 25-28
Reopen for the last Bonus Sale of the year (20% off storewide PLUS…)
December 29-30: 11AM-7PM
December 31 (New Year’s Eve): 11AM – 4PM
CLOSED January 1-4, 2018
2018 Winter Schedule begins Friday, January 5:
Fridays, Saturdays, Sundays, Mondays: 10AM-6PM
Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays: CLOSED.
Some classes will take place while the shop proper is closed to the public, and during those times, registered class participants will have the opportunity to make shop purchases using a credit card.
We’re excited about the year ahead, and can hardly wait to get there!
