Holy crap! It’s a new website!
You guys! I can’t even tell you how exciting it is to be typing these words… we’ve been fighting for three years – indie style – with a web site that just wasn’t cooperating. Our tech friends couldn’t explain it, or fix it — and we didn’t have the bandwidth to start over — so we scrapped the online shop, resigned ourselves to a less-than-impressive website, and refocused our limited time on our brick & mortar shop and the ebay business that got this whole thing started.
Fast forward three (frenetic, nose-to-the-grindstone) years. Last month, we were encouraged to revisit our web strategy (‘ignore it’ isn’t exactly best in class), and after hearing out our friends at the Rachel Greenhouse Agency, we decided to let Rachel have a go at helping us develop something better using the content we’ve been developing elsewhere — and the vision I’ve had in mind for Junket’s future… and boy, did she ever!
I got my first peek at the site’s framework yesterday…and this afternoon, I was able to jump in and start adding content. The very first thing I’m doing is this message — to send a quick HEY and THANKS (for your patience!) to everyone who’s been patiently waiting for the site to become more dynamic — and for the ability to be able to make purchases of Junket product from the comfort of your underwear… we’re not quite there yet, but it’s in the works, we’ll have several handmade (using secondhand goods) products available before the holidays, and we’re pretty dang excited to have jumped our ghost-infested ship in favor of this new-to-us rig…
It’s good to be back behind the keyboard… can’t wait to share more!
Until the next post,
julie
